
Dave joined Bucklin, Klemin, McBride and Schweigert, P.C. in 1993 and has been president of the firm since 2005. He heads the firm litigation department and focuses his practice primarily in the areas of personal injury, product liability, insurance defense and business disputes litigation.
Education
He attended Jamestown College (college fellow in business, history and political science; All Conference tight end) and the University of North Dakota School of Law (law review, moot court and graduated with distinction).
Personal
He grew up on a family ranch in eastern Montana and is no stranger to the work ethic common in the Midwest. Dave is married to Suzanne and they have three active sons. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching youth sports, hunting, golfing and spending time with family and friends.

Karen McBride is the Secretary and Treasurer of Bucklin, Klemin, McBride and Schweigert, P.C. She has been with the law firm since 1990. Karen's primary legal expertise lies in the areas of Domestic Relations; Estate Planning; Probate; Real Estate; and Corporate Law.
Education
Karen received her B.S. from Minot State University, and her J.D. from the University of North Dakota.

Personal
Karen was born in Minot, North Dakota. Outside of the office Karen is active amateur musician, and as such, is a long time member of the Bismarck Mandan Civic Chorus and Dakota Chamber Chorale. Since 1990 she has also been an Ambassador with the Bismarck Mandan Chamber of Commerce.

Lawrence R. Klemin has been with the law firm since 1978. Lawrence has extensive litigation and administrative agency experience and practices primarily in the areas of business, commercial, real estate, insurance, and products liability law and litigation.
Education
Lawrence attended the University of North Dakota, where he received a B.A. in English and Russian, and a J.D. with distinction. He served on the editorial board for the North Dakota Law Review.
Legislative
Lawrence has been a State Representative in the North Dakota Legislative Assembly since 1998, representing District 47 in Bismarck. He has served with the House Judiciary, Political Subdivisions, Government Affairs, and Constitutional Revision Committees. In his capacity as a State Representative, he has been appointed to serve on the National Uniform Law Commission, the Criminal Justice Committee of the National Conference of State Legislatures, the North Dakota Commission on Alternatives to Incarceration, and the North Dakota State Employees Compensation Commission.

Lawrence has been extensively involved with numerous other boards, commissions, and organizations, including the State Advisory Council for the North Dakota Office of Administrative Hearings, Chair of the Administrative Law Committee of the State Bar Association of North Dakota, Board of Directors for the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber of Commerce, Chair of Chamber's Government Affairs Committee, Chair of the Board of Directors of the West Dakota Chapter of the American Red Cross, Board of Directors of the North Dakota Chapter of the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation, Advisory Council for RSVP Central North Dakota, and Chair of the Parish Council of the Church of Corpus Christi. Lawrence is also the author and editor of Civil Practice of North Dakota, 2nd Edition, Forms and Trial Notebook (Litigation Services, Inc.) and the author of Small-Case Litigation Forms (James Publishing, Inc.). Lawrence is a Vietnam Veteran, having served with the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army where he was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal and Air Medal.
Lawrence is licensed to practice law in North Dakota and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court for the District of North Dakota, and the North Dakota Supreme Court and District Courts. Lawrence is also listed as a Mediator on the North Dakota Statewide ADR Civil Neutral Roster, and is an Arbitrator for the National Arbitration Forum and the Better Business Bureau.

Ariston, who normally goes by "Ari," is an Associate Attorney with Bucklin, Klemin, McBride & Schweigert, P.C. Ari joined the law firm in 2007. Ari's practice is primarily devoted to general civil litigation, ranging from personal injury claims to commercial litigation. He is first and foremost a problem solver and enjoys the unique problems and challenges that his clients bring to him.

Ariston received his undergraduate education of the University of North Dakota (B.S. Comp. Sci. 2003) and his legal education at the College of William and Mary in Virgina (J.D. 2007). He is licensed to practice law in North Dakota, Virginia, Minnesota, and Montana.

Becky graduated from the University of Mary with a degree in Business Management and holds a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Bismarck State College. She started her legal career in 2000 and obtained her Certified Legal Assistant designation through the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) in May, 2006.
